Patio Social LLC ("Patio Social," "Patio Community," "we," "us," or "our") operates patiocommunity.com and related services. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect
Information you give us directly
- Name, email address, and mobile phone number when you RSVP to an event, subscribe to our newsletter, or apply for Patio Pro membership
- Business name, job title, business website, business social media accounts, business logo, and business description when you apply for Patio Pro membership
- Billing contact name, billing email, and billing preferences when you enroll in a paid membership
- Any information you volunteer in a form field, survey response, or message to us
Information collected automatically
- IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited
- Cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta (Facebook) pixel, used to measure how people find and use our site
Mobile information and text messaging
When you check the SMS consent box and submit your mobile number on our text signup form at https://join.patiocommunity.com/texts, we collect and use that number for the specific purpose of sending you text messages about our events, your Patio Pro membership, account notices, and occasional promotional messages about upcoming Patio Socials and Exclusive Socials. That form is the only way to join our SMS program. Consent boxes are never pre-checked, and consent to receive marketing text messages is never a condition of purchasing anything from us or attending any event.
Message frequency varies, up to 6 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe, or HELP for assistance, at any time. We do not purchase, rent, or import mobile numbers from third-party lists.
Payment information
We do not collect or store your card number. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Your card data goes directly to Stripe and is governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
3. How we use your information
- To register you for events and send you event confirmations, reminders, and updates
- To deliver Patio Pro membership benefits, including your listing in the Patio Pro Directory
- To send you our newsletter and information about upcoming events, if you have subscribed
- To process membership payments and manage your subscription
- To respond when you contact us
- To measure and improve our events, website, and marketing
4. Public directory listings
If you enroll in Patio Pro, the business information you submit — business name, logo, tagline, website, business social media accounts, and business category — is published on our public Patio Pro Directory. This is a core benefit of the membership.
Your personal mobile phone number and billing information are never published in the directory. If you want your listing removed, email us and we will remove it, though removal does not cancel your membership or entitle you to a refund.
5. How we share your information
We share information only with service providers who help us operate, and only as needed to provide the service. These currently include Stripe (payment processing), our email service provider, our customer relationship management platform, and our website and directory hosting providers.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Patio Social LLC, our members, or the public.
6. Your choices
Text messages. Reply STOP to any message from us to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for assistance. See our SMS Messaging Terms for full details.
Email. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You may also email us to be removed.
Access and deletion. Email pat@patiocommunity.com to request a copy of the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. We will respond within 30 days. We may retain records we are required to keep for tax, accounting, or legal purposes.
Cookies. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies. Refusing cookies may affect how parts of our site work.
7. Data retention
We keep your information as long as your account or membership is active, and afterward as needed to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
8. Children
Our services are intended for adults. Many of our events take place at venues that serve alcohol and are restricted to those 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, email us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated by email to subscribers and members.
